Motion
Description
Two young children run, full speed ahead, into the ocean, as an older couple, on a leisurely walk coming from the other direction, watches. There is the element of play, and how when we are young, we can be so focused on moving forward that we don’t look back or think about where we are going. It can take time and age to make one look back, even when it is through witnessing the actions of another. Time is always moving forwards, and a beautiful thing about photography is how it can stop motion for a split second to let us sit with the world and our places in it.
